Youth will learn about savings, checking, needs vs wants, budgeting, credit and everything in between.
Purpose, Passion and Career classes offers youth insight into different entrepreneur, college, vocational and career choices.
Our YAS programs provides classes ranging from internet and social media safety to mental health awareness and referrals to coats for the winter to sanitizing items for special education departments at selected elementary and middle schools.
There’s nothing like having something to snack on while home during summer break. Our kids love these snacky and sweet treat bags!
Youth will have opportunities to attend and/or participate in sporting, theatre/plays, symphonies, movies, museum and other venues as they become available.
Our CVP program provides various workshops to prepare high school students for onboarding success for vocational/technical and college preparation. We have various speakers from the various institutions who provide information to assist the students and parents with the entire process. We also research and provide links to scholarships and FASFA information. We are planning on offering bi-annual essay writing workshops.
Our cooking program provides tutorials and classes to teach youth kitchen safety, cooking simple meals and snacks as well as a few desserts.

Effective November 1, 2022:
Parents/Guardian/Registered young adults will have to pre-pay a portion of the cost for any activity that requires SLYC to pay upfront. The cost will vary depending on the activity and will range from $3 to $25. This cost will be due at the time that you register/notify SLYC of your youth’s attendance.
Effective November 1, 2022:
If a seat has been reserved for you/youth but can’t attend, SLYC will require a 48 hour notice to cancel in order to try to find another person to fill that space. The only exceptions will be emergencies such as a death, contagious illness, hospitalizations, emergency travel, a verifiable injury or acts of God/nature.
If SLYC doesn’t receive the cancellation in time requested, then your youth will not be able to attend any activity for 30 days (1st time); 60 days (2nd time) and 90 days+ (3rd time).
